FusionFlex Base
The FusionFlex Base is specifically designed to complete the Sanctuary sleep system. The base is built from solid New Zealand Pine and topped with a 30mm layer of Dreamfoam to create a cushioned, responsive bridge between the Sanctuary mattress and the frame, extending support and reducing mattress wear. Upholstered in Verve European-inspired velvet, the FusionFlex Base brings both structural integrity and refined design to your bedroom.

Can I buy the FusionFlex Base separately?
The FusionFlex Base is only available as part of a complete Sanctuary sleep system and cannot be purchased on its own. It is designed exclusively to pair with Sanctuary mattresses. Using it with any other mattress would compromise the intended feel and performance of the base, which is why Sleepyhead restricts it to Sanctuary mattress purchases only.
Won't a foam layer in the base make the bed feel too soft?
You won't even notice it! The Dreamfoam layer is 30mm of high-density, responsive foam, not a thick memory foam topper. It provides responsive cushioning without sacrificing the firm, stable support of the New Zealand Pine base beneath it.
What does the dreamfoam layer actually do?
The Dreamfoam layer acts as a transition layer between your mattress and the frame. Think of it as the difference between sleeping on a solid floor versus a sprung floor.
