At Sleepyhead, we strongly recommend a 'try before you buy' approach, with assistance from a trained Sleepyhead sales representative.

Every body type and sleep preference suits a different style of bed, which is why we have developed such an extensive range of quality beds. You spend a third of your life in bed, so it's not a decision you should to leave to chance!

Put aside adequate time for your store visit. Our trained Sleepyhead sales staff will want to ask you several questions to help you determine which range or ranges you should try. Then you need to spend several minutes lying on the different models within these ranges to find your perfect match. Once you think you've found it - lie on it for 10-15 minutes to make sure.

Checking for correct firmness

Lie on your back, placing your hand in the small of your back and then trying to move it about. If it moves too easily, the bed may be too hard for you; if it's a struggle to move your hand, then the bed is too soft. If you can move your hand with just a little resistance, the bed may be just right for you.

Check for correct spinal alignment

You will need a salesperson to check this for you while lying down on your preferred comfort choice.

If you share a bed, take your partner with you

Remember, it's important a new bed suits both of you. Sounds obvious we know, but it's amazing how many people leave their partners at home!
